Selfie Mosaic (the "App") values user privacy and complies with applicable laws, including the Personal Information Protection Act of Korea. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles user information.
1. Personal Information Collected and Purpose of Processing
The App does not provide sign-up, login, account, or server transmission features. Therefore, the App does not collect or use any personal information such as name, contact information, location, or identifiers.
2. Device Permissions
The App uses the following device permissions to provide its features. Data accessed through these permissions is processed only inside the device and is not transmitted or stored externally.
- Camera (required) - Used for real-time video capture and mosaic processing. If denied, the App's core feature cannot be used.
- Microphone (optional) - Used to record sound when recording video. If denied, videos are captured without sound.
- Photos (optional) - Used to save captured photos and videos to the device's photo library. If denied, saving functionality may be limited.
Permissions can be changed at any time in iOS Settings > Selfie Mosaic.
3. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties
The App does not collect personal information and therefore does not provide personal information to third parties.
4. Outsourcing of Personal Information Processing
The App does not outsource personal information processing.
5. International Transfer of Personal Information
The App does not transfer personal information overseas.
6. Retention Period and Destruction of Personal Information
The App does not collect or retain personal information, so it has no separate retention period or destruction procedure. Photos and videos captured by the User are stored in the User's device photo library, and the App does not collect or manage them. The User is solely responsible for storing and deleting captured media.
7. Rights of Data Subjects and How to Exercise Them
Because the App does not collect personal information, there is no personal information subject to access, correction, deletion, or suspension of processing. Device permissions can be changed directly by the User in iOS Settings.
8. Children's Personal Information
The App does not collect personal information from any user, including children under 14.
9. Measures to Ensure Personal Information Security
The App is designed with an on-device processing structure that does not collect or transmit personal information, preventing external leakage risk at the source. All video processing, including face detection and mosaic processing, is performed inside the device without a network connection.
10. Advertising and Analytics Tools
The App does not use any third-party tools that transmit user information externally, including advertising networks, analytics, or crash reporting tools.
11. Processing of Face Detection Data
The App performs face detection and person-area segmentation through the Apple Vision framework to automatically cover pedestrians' faces during photo or video capture. The data handled in this process and the processing method are as follows.
- Data processed - Bounding boxes of detected faces in each frame and person-area masks. The App does not create or use biometric templates for face identification, faceprints, identity-verification landmarks, expression analysis, or emotion analysis.
- Purpose of use - Used only to apply real-time mosaic processing to face areas of people other than the User.
- Storage and retention - Face detection data is not stored on any medium. It is discarded immediately after processing for the next frame and exists only temporarily in memory. There is no separate retention period.
- Third-party provision and sharing - No processing result, including face detection data, is transmitted externally or shared with any third party.
- Processing location - All face detection and mosaic processing happens inside the User's iPhone and does not use a network connection.
